Terms of Service
Use of the Let’s Go Fishing online fishing community is absolutely free for all users.
You will have to endure the occasional banner advertisement but we will never use obtrusive pop-up banners. If you ever receive a pop-up banner advertisement while browsing letsgofishing.com chances are that your computer is infected with some sort of spy-ware that’s tracking your every move on the Internet. We suggest you check with your Internet Service Provider for removal software or visit any of the popular search engines and purchase the software.
We pledge to you that any advertisement found on our site will be appropriate and of general interest to the fishing community. If you are in any offended by or feel that a particular advertising banner is not appropriate for our site, let us know.
Rules:
Please do not use the messaging system to send Unsolicited Marketing Email. The messaging component of our site should be used for making contact with potential fishing buddies or to ask for advise from your fellow community members. Anyone that is found abusing the system will be banned from using the site.
Please do not post inappropriate pictures. We consider ourselves a family-friendly site and want to keep it that way. You should only post photos of yourself, family and fishing buddies. You should not post any pictures that are copyrighted from anyone other than yourself.
Your photos should not be excessively revealing, sexualized or obscene. Fishing is a fun outdoor sport and we’re generally not dressed-up in our best clothes, this we understand.
Clothing appropriate for a typical All-American beach party seems fair and safe. As we launch the site there will be no verification of images loaded. We’ll be on the honor system. Should we find that the system and our policy is being abused we will implement a verification/approval process for all uploaded images.
Using your real first name is appropriate and encouraged.
Profanity other than that one would hear on your local evening news should be left out. Again, this is a family site. If you feel the need to use profanity, be creative and blank it out with different characters (#@##$!!@$#)
Do not create fake profiles or profiles for anyone other than yourself. If you’re building a professional services profile, use the appropriate application and support the site.
Do not impersonate another person whether famous or otherwise. Ernest Hemmingway is dead. Yes, yes, we’d all like to be famous but this site isn’t about being famous, we’re about fishing and having fun!
Please do not engage in character assassination, slander or libel.
Do not use the system for illegal activities.
Accounts not accessed for more than a year may be deleted without notice.

Use of the Let’s Go Fishing online community is provided to members solely at our discretion. Membership to the site can be terminated for any cause we deem reasonable.
You understand that we do not incur any liability by doing so and that we have no obligation to provide you with access to any information about you that was on the site at the time of termination including, but not limited to, information from your profile, a list of your friends, your messages, or any other information which may have been contained in your profile. By accepting the terms of service you also agree to and give concent to Letsgofishing.com to use and and all uploaded photos for promotion purposes of the Let's Go Fishing Online Community. Use could include but is not limited to editorial content, banner advertising and marketing collateral for the promotion of LetsGoFishing.com.
